Curriculum

The academic program is organized on a traditional seven period day with year long and semester long classes. Students can earn half a credit each semester for their classes. Dual enrollment classes are offered through San Juan University, Navajo Technical University, and UNM Gallup. Our Project Lead the Way career pathway is Engineering & Environmental Sustainability for our students.  The curriculum for our classes are aligned with the districts Year – At A – Glance which follows the Common Core State Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards.

Tse’ Yi’ Gai High School Profile

Tse’ Yi’ Gai High is a comprehensive four-year public high school enrolling 75 students in grades 6–12. It is located in Pueblo Pintado on the eastern edge of the Navajo Nation in northwestern New Mexico. 100% of students qualify for free meals. 50% of the students are classified as ELL with Navajo being the primary language spoken in the home and the community. The school opened in the fall of 2007 and graduated its first senior class in the spring of 2008.  The school is a 1 – 1 school with each student receiving a laptop they can use in school and at home.  Tse’ Yi’ Gai High School is accredited by AdvancedEd.
